The Contented Sole sits on the harbor in New Harbor, Maine, a short walk from the docks where the day's catch comes in. We're a small, family-feeling restaurant built around fresh local seafood, a working waterfront, and the people who make this stretch of coast what it is.
From the Water
We work with the harbor's day-boat fishermen and nearby oyster farms. What lands on the dock in the morning shapes the menu by evening.
From the Land
Vegetables, herbs, and produce come from small growers up the road. Hydrangeas on the tables come from the yard.
Inside & Out
Open beams and harbor light by day. Warm lamps and an easy hum by night. Picnic tables on the patio when the weather is kind.
Tread Lightly
We buy local, compost food scraps, skip plastic cups and straws, and recycle where we can. Small choices, every day.
